Sunflower oil is a common cooking oil that is mainly used for cooking and consumption. The main types of sunflower oil produced are as follows:

1.Cold-pressed sunflower oil: Cold-pressed sunflower oil refers to the extraction of sunflower oil by physical pressing, without chemical solvents, and mainly uses our low-temperature screw oil press for production and processing. This method of production preserves the nutrients and natural flavor of sunflower oil, which is why it is preferred by consumers. Cold-pressed sunflower oil usually has a strong sunflower seed flavor and a yellowish color, making it a high-quality edible oil.

Hot-pressed sunflower oil: Hot-pressed sunflower oil refers to the extraction of oil from sunflower seeds by pressing under high temperature conditions, which is mainly produced and processed by our screw oil press. This production method can improve the extraction rate of oil, but the nutritional value of hot-pressed sunflower oil is usually low because high temperature tends to destroy the nutrients in the oil.

3.Solvent extraction of sunflower oil: Solvent extraction of sunflower oil refers to the extraction of sunflower seeds by chemical solvents (such as n-hexane), and then the sunflower oil is obtained by evaporating the solvent, which is mainly produced and processed by our sunflower oil extraction equipment. This method of production can greatly improve the extraction rate of oils and fats, but it has been phased out in some countries due to the potential impact of residual solvents on oil quality and human health.

In addition to the above common production methods, some new production technologies are gradually being applied to the production of sunflower oil, such as supercritical fluid extraction technology, ultrasonic extraction technology, etc. These new technologies are expected to become the mainstream technology for sunflower oil production in the future, as they can extract nutrients from sunflower oil more efficiently and reduce the environmental impact.

However, at present, the more mainstream is the production of sunflower oil by screw pressing and oil extraction, which are the most widely used sunflower oil production methods in the world.
